A Great Halloween!

Today was, (of course) Halloween! We had a blast,,, staying out late, getting candy, talking with friends, getting candy, eating corn bread, getting candy, and also getting candy. EmmaLee decided to be an angel-dancer. And April decided to be a "Country Queen." And then I was a dorky high school kid. Here are some pictures.

Kirstie, ( my sister) did all of our make-up. Alot of people asked April if she was Bell from "Beauty and the Beast." But no, she wasn't. With our make-up done, we all look so different, it's funny for me to see myself in these pictures, I usually don't use make-up.

This year we also decided to do some pumpkins. We had some fun with them, and these are some pictures that we took.

The one on the far left is April's pumpkin, the on in the middle is EmmaLee's, and the one on the far right is mine. They looked better with the porch light off, but the flash on the camera is so light that it didn't make a difference when I turned them off.

Baby sitting

We have been baby sitting this one little boy, his name is Aaron. My mother works with his Mom, and they were looking for a good baby sitter. And today we got a really cute picture of him. He had just got his diaper changed, and didn't want his pants back on, and he wanted to go outside.

Isn't he cute!? Those are my Mom's shoes, and he has no pants on. We couldn't let him out like that, because it was 40 degrees outside, and there was still some snow on the ground.

A BIG DOG.

Firstly I have some pictures of the snow, that finally settled last night. After measureing the snow it was about 4 inches deep.

But we had the dogs out with us, and they really love the snow. I did also roll around in it, like I've been planning on doing since the begining of this this years Summer.

Big Doggy. We went to the animal shelter today, because they said that they had a Saint Bernard, and we love those sort of dogs. So we got there. And the man pulled the dog out of the cage, and this is what we saw!

Isn't he beatuiful?! We would have gotten him, but they eat alot, and with our older dog, ( Cherokee) it wouldn't be the best time to get another dog. But the good news is that a member of our ward are going to think about geting him.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!

Tonight we went out to buy my mother some ice cream, because she was having her thirty minute brake. We were looking at the temperature readouts in my dad's truck, and it was 36 degrees outside. We were hopeing for some snow, but there was only a 26% chance. Then we got home. April and I jumped out of the truck to bring the rabbit bottles in. ( so that they wouldn't freeze and be ruined. ) Then something wet and cold floatted down. SNOW!!! April and I ran in circles in our side yard, yelling, "SNOW!!!" Then we yelled it as we grabbed the bottles. And then we ran up our driveway still yelling. My throught is now quite sore. But then my Dad had April, EmmaLee, and me go outside again to put the chickens away, and underneath Cripple, ( one of the chickens.) we found exacly 12 eggs. And no wonder we hadn't been finding any eggs from our best egg layer... she had been laying them outside in the 4ft. high weeds.

MY BACK

Today I was looking for "New Moon" trailer spoofs.  And I got this terible pain shooting through my back. I had no idea what it was. It some-what resembled a foot cramp, but it lasted all day, it's not as bad right no, but yet it still hurts if I move the wrong way. That is the main things that have happened to me today. Tomorrow I should have some more.

A day at church

Not much happened today. Sundays are usually a very uneventful days. Some boys got yelled at, for trying to do some yoga in class. ( stupid boys.) Today is also the fist time in forever that I've been able to go to choir practice. They have about three songs, for us to practice. But I think that she is going to find some more for us to sing.

EmmaLee has desided to watch "Bambi" three times today, and even as I write this, she is watching it. silly little girl. :)  April and I have been haveing fun pionting out the weird stuff in it. And April is still sittidng here laughing at it.

Our home teachers came over today around 6:00 p.m. And stayed for about half an hour. My Dad had a good time talking to them. But besides this, our day has been the usual uneventful Sunday.

Fun Days

The day before last, my Dad had a day off, (A rare event.) We made up our minds, to take a 4-wheeler ride. After being out there for a while, we stopped at a dry river bed. We had alot of fun looking at the rocks there. We all found this big rock that looked quite cool, here are some pictures.

Me, April, EmmaLee, and Dad. I'm in the white shirt. This is my Mom and Dad, they had alot of fun. And they're great parents. We would have loved to take the rock home, but I don't think the 4-wheelers would make it.

A while after leaveing the river bed, we found this one tree that some one had cut to fit a tree stand, April, and EmmaLee found it to be a great climbing tree. Here are some more pictures!

Dad, EmmaLee, and April on the top.  And then my Dad and, Me. It was a cedar tree, so it smelt very strong, we didn't stay up there very long. And that was what most of the day consisted of.

                                                              Today

We slept in until 9:00 a.m. My dad had the day off again. But we had no special plans. So after takeing care of our animals, I took Charlotte, ( my black labrodor.) out on a walk. When I got back my friend Ashlyn called and invited me to go to the park with her. I said yes. April, Charlotte, and I all went there together. There were soccer games going on, so Charlotte was almost overwelmed by people. Almost every one wanted to pet the big black doggy. Some kids asked to even walk her. LOL, and I let them, I'm glad that the dog is trianed. We ended up being there from 1:30 - 5:15 p.m.  But all in all, it was alot of fun, we didn't even have to hold the leash the whole time, Charlotte was off of it quite a bit.

The MacKays have decided to begin to do a blog. I, (Amanda) will be keeping it up to date. We live in the small town of Taylor Arizona. We also own a small farm, consisting of thirty-six chickens, three dogs, three cats, and five rabbits. Our farm is two and a half acres. I have six sisters, two of which are married, and three have moved out. I live with three of them now, Rebecca,(26 years old.) April,(12) and EmmaLee (7). I'm 14 years old, and am very excited to be able to share my life with all my friends and family.
We love our life on our farm, we always enjoy every morning we're here. With some of my very good friends, that live away from me, I'm very happy that they will be able to stay posted with my life. I do have friends near by, but I'm sure they will also love the blog. Life is good, and if looked at closely,,, alot of fun.
Well... I think that this is a pretty good introduction, so I will have more posts up soon.
