Eggs
Egg next to the ruler
Egg in my hand.
It was a big egg.
So the other day I opened the refrigerator and noticed that we had a lot of eggs,,, and I mean A LOT of eggs. Our chickens hadn't been laying so good, so no one was thinking about the amount of eggs we were getting. So I pulled them all out and counted... 132 eggs!!! Plus one, so 133 eggs. 11 dozen, ( plus one. ) so we gave them away to friends and neighbors. We kept 13 of the eggs for our self. Here are some pictures of them when we had them all out on the table...
All on the table, open.
We organized them
All stacked on each other.
The eighteen egg carton on the top is the one we kept, it only had thirteen in it though. But there sure were a lot of eggs.
It was time

Big Egg
The other day I went outside to check the eggs. We have three different coops...
1. The red coop
2. The light green coop
3. The dark green coop
As I opened the nest box lid of the dark green coop there was this monster of an egg. It was also green telling us that either Chip, Dale, or Munk were the possible layers of this egg.
From one end to the other is measured 8 cm. And the length around the middle was 6 1/2 in. It was huge. We cracked it open and it was a double yolk. And they were big yolk. I did take a picture of it before we cracked it but I can't find the camera now. So next time I up-date I'll put those pictures on here.

This is my sister Melanie, and her husband Keats.
This is Kirstie, David, ( her boyfriend ) and EmmaLee.
These lovely people are my parents, their names are... Dad and Mom.
This is April and I, those good moments when we get along, ( just kidding, we get along fine. )
This is my sister Jennifer and her husband Josh.

They were all there with us, and every one brought their animals, just not Melanie and Keats. The house was full, AND WE LOVED IT!!! Here are some pictures of the living room on Christmas morning...
Oh, what lovely presents! We all had an awesome time. I hope every one else had one just as good.
Now I know that this picture is a little random, but i couldn't help myself, this is Josh while we were playing a game, he got just a little hyper. But we still love him. :)
This is my mom and dad having fun with the things April and I knitted for them. Aren't they awesome looking?
And these are pictures of my mother having me play, "model" with my new shirt... And no my pinky isn't missing, I just have it tucked in. :)
And now, for all of those who know me you should know what's coming next... Pictures of the animals!!! YEAH!!!

Surprise Surprise
We slept in until 8:30 this morning. My sister Melanie and her husband Keats didn't wake up until about 12:30 noon. Everything was very frozen this morning, making the time we spent taking care of the animals very annoying. We had the Opportunity to watch, " Night at the Museum 2," IT WAS SORTA' DUMB!!! I thought it was kind of funny but not really worth owning. Tonight we were eating dinner, and my mother kept looking at the front room windows. We all thought that she was just kidding with us, but a few minutes latter... my Sister Jennifer and her Husband Joshua, ( Josh ) came in the door. We were very happy that they came this early, Originally they weren't going to be here, until Christmas morning. BUT NOW THEY ARE HERE!!!!! They brought their dogs, Torque,(pit bull/Boxer.) Bently,(Pit Bull/Labrador ) and Miki.(Tea cup Pomeranian ) We, ( April, EmmaLee and I ) all watched G-force. It was funny, but still not worth owning. We're all so excited for Christmas tomorrow. We're all staying up late, to visit as a family. But not too late, so that Christmas morning comes sooner. Grin! I hope that all of you have a really grand Christmas! I don't think that I'll be Updating this blog any time soon, but if I happen to have some extra time on my hands tomorrow after we've done all the fun stuff, then I think I'll have some pictures of the morning. Again I'd like to wish every one a happy Christmas. OH, and here is our family Christmas card for this year... I hope that you like it.
The MacKays
Another year has come to an end and we, the MacKays, are all here on this earth enjoying the bounties of it.
Eric: Still working in Show Low and surrounding areas for the local mortuary. Keeps family happy by taking them atv riding on weekends looking for wild animals. Sometimes we don’t have to go very far to find them out where we live.
Sherie: Working for the local police department as a dispatcher. It isn’t so hard babysitting a small town. Actually spends more time reading and other things than working. Bet you all wish you had that job.
Rebecca: Working for the county as a county clerk. Finds great enjoyment with some fellow employees (a boyfriend) and great aggravation with others. Lives at home as of now and we love having her around.
Jennifer & Joshua (Roper): Live in Maricopa, AZ. Happy parents of 3 dogs and a lovely home. They were sealed in the SLC Temple this year.
Melanie & Keats (Jack): Live in La Plata, NM. Happy parents of 2 dogs. (What is it with dogs, I thought you should have children after marriage, not dogs?)
Kirstie (19): Lives in Winslow, AZ. Is attending officer academy for becoming an officer at the county jail. Will graduate the last day of the year.
Amanda (14): Living at home. Still being homeschooled. Eager to get her driving permit this next year since she believes she should be driving all over anyway. Determined to train her Labrador to pull a cart. (Good idea since we won’t get her a horse.)
April (12): Living at home. Still being homeschooled. Enjoying babysitting for others because you get paid for it. Has discovered it is nice to have money.
EmmaLee (7 going on 25): Living at home. Attends AZVA (which is doing school at home). Is going to be the world’s greatest female hunter possibly in only a few years. Also believes she is a cat.
There are many more cats, dogs, chickens and rabbits that some feel are part of the family and others feel should be part of dinner.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
